Ex Curtis L. Clay Collection; acquired from Faramir2, Berlin, eBay, 6 Aug. 2006. This is apparently the first known sestertius type of Caracalla that is dated to his nineteenth tribunician year, TR P XVIIII = 216 AD, suggesting that others of his TR P XVIIII types, which are today known only from coins of other denominations, may eventually turn up on sestertii too.Heavy porosity. gF
